The development of a new build three storey block which will provide fifteen new apartments for affordable rent. All the proposed apartments will be two bedroom three persons homes with shared external amenity space including external landscaped garden, cycle store and parking.

The sites previous use was a residential care home for the over 65’s formerly known as Pensby Hall Nursing Home.
The proposal looks to use traditional materials which are sympathetic to the character setting. The overall visual composition meets the existing material palette of the area and this design is contextual to the area.
The building has been designed with a rendered penthouse upper floor sitting on a two storey brick base to moderate the transition in scale with the existing houses and create a grand entrance centrally in the arts and craft style.
The landscape aims to maintain a leafy frontage onto Pensby Road, frame the main entrance to the building, provide protection to ground floor apartment windows and create an attractive amenity space conducive to communal use.
The project brings a new vibrancy to the site which has been unused for some time, it has good links to local amenities and will contribute a new housing offer to the popular Pensby Village.
