A key design challenge was to provide active frontages to all of the surrounding streets, and avoid blank elevations.

This was achieved by using variations of a single house type plan layout to provide alternative window and door positions to suit the specific constraints of the site, whilst maximising the efficiency of repetition associated with using a single house type plan form. 

Situated on a brownfield derelict site fronting three roads, adjacent to a primary school and opposite a row of shops the project offered the opportunity to redevelop a key site at the heart of the Booth Crescent Estate in Mansfield.  

The scheme was completed for Derwent Living to provide fourteen family homes for rent and has transformed a derelict site into much needed high quality family housing.
