This innovative university building was created through the imaginative intervention of new built form within the campus.  A new atrium ‘street’ links new and old facilities and creates a dynamic fluid, informal space for engagement and education.

This new three storey academic building comprises a corporate two hundred and fifty seat lecture theatre, teaching rooms and seminar / social meeting spaces linked to the existing buildings via an atria street. The project integrates new build and refurbishment creating new pedestrian routes affording better connectivity across the university’s two sites.

Built to the highest standards of sustainable design this signature innovation centre sets new standards of architecture within the campus. The project is a landmark facility providing a focus for regional economic strategy in the Northwest, providing knowledge transfer from the higher education sector into schools and colleges and teaching for the skills environment of the 21st Century.
