Our twenty year association with this Grade I listed church has including five QIR’s, major roof repairs, stonework replacement, stained glass and leaded light repair and renewal and wrought iron repairs, we also managed the replacement of the bell frame and augmentation to six bells with the aid of Millennium Lottery Funding.  Our most recent work was for the small extension for a chapel and communal facilities.

St Silin’s Church is a Grade I listed church connected with Owain Glyndwr, and traces its origins to the early 13th Century.

It was burned down by the English after the battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, then rebuilt.  In 2003 HLP were involved in sensitively designing a chapel / meeting space with ancillary facilities.

The extension respects the strong character of the Grade I listed church without detracting from this important example of medieval architecture.
