Bob joined HLP in 1997 investing an interest in our hallmark philosophy of participatory design. He became a partner in 2001 following a National Housing Award & since then has focussed upon establishing innovative cohesion between design intent and site delivery through the virtual world of CAD.

Bob is a conscientious, self motivated architect who delivers quality through cost effective, imaginative and sustainable solutions. He takes a keen interest in eco-friendly technology and environmental sustainability with a three line tack structured around value for money, appropriate use of technology and social behaviour.

His design approach is straightforward; understand ones client’s business to then tailor your design skills, maintaining transparency, building mutual trust, delivering through teamwork and ultimately delivering intelligent well crafted buildings. Enabling clients to make considered design decisions within the context of their own work environment is fundamental to building quality environments to a budget, fit for purpose.

Having studied in Oxford Bob moved to London working within teams designing shopping centres, business parks and urban villages. He later worked in Liverpool again with a commercial practice designing offices, shopping centres, award winning factories, car show rooms and private housing developments. Bob ultimately joined our Liverpool office with a healthy commercial background seeking to diversify our work sectors.

From starting on the final phase at Hulme Manchester, followed by an award winning Powerhouse Foyer, Bob has successfully lead our advancement into the education sector, coupled with ongoing residential and commercial projects and is recognised for achieving early sustainable construction in schools.

Bob took responsibility for the practice’s CAD systems in 2001. We now offer clients fully interactive and co-ordinated design information as part of our ‘right first time’ policy through a set of structured BIM protocols. His current work continually challenges technological systems, linking BIMx with cost parameters in tandem with leading market trends. Bob manages our quality assured accreditations, tailoring in-house processes to compliment multiple CAD disciplines through rigorous investment of time, learning, training and enterprise to meet a wide spectrum of customer needs and aspirations.
