Special Needs Housing
By its very definition special needs housing must be tailor-made to reflect the differing requirements of the people for whom it’s intended, which can be both exciting and challenging for an architect. Since 1975 Halsall Lloyd Partnership has been designing homes for a wide variety of people with particular housing needs, from sheltered schemes for the elderly, where security, ease of access and low maintenance are important issues, to accommodation, both sheltered and large extended family homes, for ethnic communities, such as Afro-Caribbean, Asian and Jewish.
HLP can also add the provision of effective, practical and pleasant housing for people with a mental impairment, and for those recovering from brain injuries, as well as people with physical disabilities to its extensive portfolio in this area.
