at Halsall Lloyd Partnership, and in 2003 guided the Practice to

John Moores University and is a regular visiting tutor at the University
of Liverpool, where he has lectured on contract procurement.
Working
at the forefront of urban strategies such as the Housing Market
Renewal Initiative, he has the knowledge and ability to facilitate
partnerships between the public and private sector; and by using
inclusive consultation philosophies, which have empowered the community
David has realised many successful housing projects.
Successful
multifunctional community resource projects have been achieved
through a transparent methodology, engaging multiple stakeholders
and resolving complex funding regimes. David believes utilizing
various forms of consultation techniques from physical modelling
to computer-aided
design is essential to communicate ideas. The Award winning Severn
Centre exemplifies the use of these techniques and has become
the
heart of a former mining village in Shropshire
David is working
on a number of medical centres in North Wales, which are at the
forefront of integrated health provision, which
combine
local Practices with NHS services and retail pharmacies. Each
medical centre is unique and uses natural, local materials
internally and
externally to promote understanding of healthy environments.
Central
to his and the Practice’s philosophy is the development
of environmental sustainability through design, having completed
projects with photo-voltaic panels, timber frame structures
and natural ventilation systems that have achieved BRE ECO-Homes
accreditation.
He believes protecting the environment is an integral
part of good practice for all projects and is committed to minimising
negative
impacts, ensuring all members of the Practice develop an
ecologically sound approach to their works.
